Airtel Business India’s first enterprise to connect over 20 million devices

New Delhi: Bharti Airtel its business-to-business (B2B) division has become the first ICT service provider in the country to connect over 20 million devices through its IoT solutions.

Airtel IoT enables enterprises across industries such as automobile, energy, utilities, logistics, financial services, manufacturing and many more with a secure and dedicated private network for the safe transmission of all customer data across connected devices.

Airtel's recent IoT deployment includes a partnership with Secure Meters for the installation of 1.3 million smart meters in Bihar using NB-IoT technology.

The company collaborated with TP Western Odisha Distribution Limited (TPWODL), a joint venture between the Government of Odisha and Tata Power, to deploy 200,000 Smart Meters in Odisha.

 Airtel formed a partnership with Matter Motor Works to enable cellular IoT connectivity for 300,000 bikes, marking significant progress in their IoT initiatives.

Ganesh Lakshminarayanan, CEO, Airtel Business (India) said, "With efficient and cost-effective automated IoT solutions, we are at the forefront of empowering enterprises to extend their reach to the remotest parts of the country on our secure platform as they scale their businesses. Airtel Business’s integrated IoT platform offers customised solutions for each IoT requirement of enterprises across 5G, 4G, narrowband-IoT (NBIoT), 2G, and satellite.
