British firm AB Mauri obtains allotted land in Pilibhit Industrial Area

Lucknow/UNI: Attracted by UPSIDA’s (UP State Industrial Development Authority) ‘Ease Of Doing Business’ policy and a chance to obtain all land-related information on its GIS portal, AB Mauri, an operating division of Associated British Foods, expressed their interest in setting up a project in Pilibhit, U.P.

Following that 257 acres of bulk industrial land was allotted to the company ‘M/s AB Mauri’ for the production of yeast, while with the proposed investment of Rs 1,100 crores for the project it is expected to create enormous employment opportunities, sources said.

The company’s forte lies in industrial baking since it was formed in 2004 that include manufacturing yeast and baking ingredients.

The allotted bulk land in Bhara Pachpera village of Pilibhit district in Uttar Pradesh is located near Bareilly-Haridwar highway which satiates all the necessary industrial requirements for the proposed ‘Yeast Project’.

The British company presence is expected to expedite the local bakery industry by elevating the quality of the products manufactured, sugar production, distillery, brewed beverages and the utilization of yeast in medicines.

The company said that the project might also help in keeping the manufacturing cost under control.

The project will see zero discharge of industrial liquid which can help in obtaining the NOCs for the project easily, while expectations that the proposed project will generate employment opportunities for areas surrounding Pilibhit rise.
