BSE Sensex at peak at 44,428.01 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Tuesday was at peak at 44,428.01, up by 350.86 pts in opening trade on strong global cues.

The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange too rose by 108.95 pts to 13,035.40.

The sectoral indices include Auto, Bankex, Finance and Consumer Discretionary Goods and Services boosted the same.

The Sensex registered intra-day high and low at 44,487.65 and 44,247.12 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered intra-day high and low at 13,044.45 and 12,978 respectively.

The Mid Cap moved up by 0.62 pc and Small Cap by 0.86 pc.

In 30 scrips, 24 advanced while 6 declined.

The gainers were M&M by 3.12 pc to Rs 727.25, Maruti Suzuki by 2.84 pc to Rs 7185, Tech Mahindra by 2.41 pc to Rs 886.60, HDFC Bank by 2 pc to Rs 1422.70 and Axis Bank by 1.84 pc to Rs 606.55.

The losers were ONGC by 1.05 pc to Rs 75.70, Reliance Industries by 0.58 pc to Rs 1939.40, Titan by 0.32 pc to Rs 1341.95 and Sun Pharma by 0.25 pc to Rs 511.50.
