CSIA wins award for Excellence in Travel Retail Infrastructure at the India Retail Forum 2016

Mumbai, Sept 26 (IBNS): Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) received the Most Admired Retailer of the Year Award for excellence in travel retail infrastructure at the 13th edition of The India Retail Forum 2016.

The award, presented collectively by Anshul Jain, CEO Adidas, Sanjeev Rao, Director-Business Development, Raymond and Nagesh Rajanna, CEO, Bombay Dyeing, was conferred to CSIA at the event held at The Renaissance Hotel, Mumbai.

The award is in recognition of the excellence achieved by the airport in business and innovation in the travel retail segment.

With over 150 retail brands in an area of more than 2, 00,000 sq ft, CSIA, was felicitated on the basis of its unique and effective technology applications, exclusive consumer promotions, and robust employee and supplier relations within the travel retail sector.

The award jury included prominent personalities from renowned multi-national companies like JLL India, Boston Consulting Group, Knight Frank to name a few along with representatives from some of the world’s premier management institutions. 

The theme for this year’s IRF 2016 - 'Navigating the Fastest Growing Major Market of the World', chaired by  Krish Iyer, President & CEO, Walmart India, emphasized on the undisputed growth of the Indian economy and discussed the growing complexities of successful retailing in a fast changing consumer landscape.
