DB Schenker appoints Suresh Kumar as Director Region West India

New Delhi, Nov 21 (IBNS): Schenker India Pvt. Ltd, part of DB Schenker, the transport and logistics division of Deutsche Bahn AG, has appointed Suresh Kumar as Director-Region West India, with effect from November, 2014.

He will be responsible for further development and growth of the DB Schenker organization in region West India which includes important economic states like Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.

With an overall experience of more than two decades, and having worked with leading service providers in the industry in Asia, Suresh has been with DB Schenker since 2010 and was based in the Asia Pacific Regional Head Office in Singapore, and most recently in the Philippines. Before taking up his current role in India, he held the position of Director - Contract Logistics & Supply Chain Solutions in Schenker Philippines, the company said in a statement.

Speaking on the new appointment Reiner Allgeier, Managing Director, Schenker India Pvt. Ltd., said, “Suresh has a vast experience in Asia pacific and in the global freight forwarding market, which will benefit our customers in western part of India. West region in India is one of our focus areas and we are confident that Suresh will bring more value to customers’ growing expectations in the region.”
