Godrej Appliances conferred with the prestigious National Energy Conservation Award 2015

New Delhi, Jan 13 (IBNS) In line with its commitment toward the environment, Godrej Appliances, one of the leading Home Appliances brands in India, has been relentlessly focusing its Research and Development initiatives towards designing products which encompass high energy efficiency as one of its core design features. Recently Godrej Appliances received 4 awards in the 1st and 2nd position at the National Energy Conservation Awards (NECA) 2015 by Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE).

Godrej Appliances was awarded the first position in the 'Consumer Goods Energy Efficient Manufacturing' category, for its Shirwal manufacturing unit; while three second position awards were received for Energy Efficiency in Refrigerators, Energy Efficiency in Air Conditioners and Consumer Goods Energy Efficient Manufacturing for its Mohali manufacturing unit.

Commenting on the occasion, Kamal Nandi, Business Head & Executive Vice President, Godrej Appliances, said, “We are both honored and humbled to receive these four awards. It is a huge recognition for our efforts  towards creating products that are highly energy efficient and environment-friendly. As an organization, we have been actively involved with the Energy Efficiency movement right from its inception. We are also one of the first organizations to have registered with BEE even during the voluntary phase. These awards encourage us to strive further towards designing products that fulfill our responsibility towards the environment and are innovative and delightful for our consumers.”

Hussain Shariyarr, Manufacturing Head and Senior Vice President, Godrej Appliances, said, "Being awarded for being the most energy efficient manufacturing units within the industry adds another feather in our cap, post the Platinum rating. Our constant pursuit to reduce energy consumption year on year ‎and our innovative approaches to conserve energy has yielded great benefits to the organization and the society on the whole."
