Kolkata: Godrej Enterprises Group’s Aerospace business has secured a manufacturing contract from aircraft engine major Pratt & Whitney to produce complex aerospace components for engine applications, the company announced on Friday.

The contract, awarded by Pratt & Whitney — a unit of RTX and one of the world’s leading aircraft engine manufacturers — will significantly expand Godrej’s capabilities in aerospace manufacturing, both in terms of advanced technologies and production scale.

Describing the agreement as a milestone for India’s aerospace sector, Maneck Behramkamdin, Business Head of the Aerospace business at Godrej Enterprises Group, said, “This contract with Pratt & Whitney is not just a business milestone — it is a testament to India's rising capabilities in complex aerospace manufacturing.”

He added that Godrej would leverage its advanced infrastructure and commitment to global quality standards to play a larger role in the aviation manufacturing ecosystem.

The deal reinforces Godrej’s strategy to become a key supplier to global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the aerospace sector, he added.

The group currently operates 35,000 sq. metres of aerospace manufacturing capacity in India and is developing an additional 48,500 sq. metres to support future expansion.
