Govt opens BHEL OFS: 5% stake on sale – here’s what you need to know

Mumbai/IBNS: The central government will sell a 5% stake in Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL) through an Offer for Sale (OFS) starting Wednesday, according to media reports.

Initially, a 3% stake will be offered, with an additional 2% sale if the issue is oversubscribed.

Non-retail investors can subscribe from Wednesday, while retail investors will get their bidding window on Thursday, DIPAM secretary said on X.

The OFS price is set at Rs. 254 per share.

The divestment is expected to boost liquidity in the stock.
