Mumbai: The Indian Rupee continued to slide, as it tumbled down 40 paise, breaching 82 level to 82.28 a record low owing to rising oil prices, even rate hike of and of US Federal Reserve too impact on the same, dealer of Foreign Exchange said.

The Indian currency dropped because of the strong Dollar against other world currencies amid a negative opening in the stock market.
