Indian benchmark indices close Wednesday on positive note
Mumbai, Sep 28 (IBNS): The Indian benchmark indices managed to move into positive territory on Wednesday, with Sensex up 69.11 points at 28292.81 and up 38.75 points at 8745.15.
The September monthly derivatives contract expires on Thursday partly buoyed market sentiment, media reported.
Some of the key stocks that gained were Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel, SBI, Adani Ports, Tata Motors and BHEL while Reliance, Coal India, HUL, Sun Pharma, Cipla and Wipro declined.
