Indian Market: Sensex bounces back by more than 200 points

Mumbai: The BSE Sensex on Tuesday jumped 277.33 pts at 60,370.30 in opening trade on the strength of Energy, FMCG and Financial services stocks.

The Nifty too rose 73.05 pts at 17,967.90.

The sensex registered intra day high and low at 60.405.42 and 60,072.34 pts respectively.

The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 17,977.95 and 17,886.95 pts respectively.

The Mid Cap declined 0.18 pc and small Cap by 0.19 pc.

The gainers were Hind Unilever by 1.86 pc to Rs 2645.35, HCL Technology by 1.09 pc to Rs 1105.80, L& T by 0.98 pc to Rs 2159.25, NTPC by 0.93 pc to Rs 167.40 and Tata Motors by 0.85 pc to Rs 416.65.

The losers were IndusInd Bank by 0.65 pc to Rs 1231.10, Bajaj Finance by 0.65 pc to Rs 5972.30, Sun Pharma by 0.53 pc to Rs 1030 and Tata Steel by 0.33 pc to Rs 119.55.
