Indian Market: Sensex closes flat, gains 32 points, Nifty at 18,109

Mumbai/UNI: Amid volatility, the BSE benchmark index, the Sensex and the NSE Nifty ended flat on Monday.

The Sensex gained 32.02 points or 0.053 per cent to end at 60,718.71 while Nifty climbed 0.70 points or 0.037 per cent to end at 18,109.45.

The Sensex opened at 60,837.40 and registered day's high and low at 61,036.56 and 60,597.36 respectively. Nifty opened at 18,140.95 and registered days high and low at 18,210.15 and 18,071.30 respectively.

BSE midcap index rose by 0.4 percent while Smallcap index was down 0.2 per cent.

Power Grid, ITC, Asian Paint, Nestle, Kotak Bank, TCS, Hindustan Unilever, Dr Reddy, NTPC were among the top gainers while HCL Tech, Titan, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Ultracement, Tech Mahindra, Reliance, Bajaj Finance, LT, Bharati Airtel and SBI were among the top losers at the BSE.
