Indian Market: Sensex moves up by 300 points

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Monday advanced 371 pts at 49,578.35 as buying was witnessed across the board.

The Nifty too rose by 117.30 pts to 14,940.45.

The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 49,580.97 and 49,481.42 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 14,941.05 and 14,912 respectively.

The Mid Cap moved up by 0.53 pc and Small Cap by 0.89 pc.

In 30 scrips 27 advanced while 3 declined.

The gainers were Dr Reddy by 2.81 pc to Rs 5318.90, ONGC by 1.17 pc to Rs 112.80, Kotak Bank by 1.17 pc to Rs 1800.80, ICICI Bank by 1.07 pc to Rs 613.25 and M & M by 1.04 pc to Rs 775.15.

The losers were Ultracemco by 1.62 pc to Rs 6379.65, Maruti Suzuki by 0.18 pc to Rs 6690.90 and Infosys by 0.12 pc to Rs 1350.80.
