Indian Market: Sensex up over 300 pts

Mumbai: The BSE Sensex on Tuesday gained 343 pts at 53, 317.50 in opening session as buying was seen across the board. 

The Nifty rose by 110.55 pts at 15,952.85.

The Sensex registered days high and low at 53,400.12 and 53,176.02 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered days high and low at 15,977.50 and 15,900.80 pts respectively.

The Mid cap moved up 0.71 pc and Small Cap by 0.91 pc. In 30 scrips, 23 advanced while 7 declined.

The gainers were Tata Steel by 4.03 pc to Rs 1148.75, Reliance Industries by 1.62 pc to Rs 2466.70, ICICI Bank by 1.43 pc to Rs 693, IndusInd Bank by 1.38 pc to Rs 898.35 and Hind Unilever by 1.11 pc to Rs 2242.

The losers were Asian Paints by 1.10 pc to Rs 2966.35, Sun Pharma by 0.42 pc to Rs 882, Infosys by 0.18 pc to Rs 1486.60 and Tech Mahindra by 0.18 pc to Rs 1185.50.
