Indian Rupee down 11 paise against USD
Mumbai: The Indian Rupee on Tuesday slipped 11 paise to close at 77.64 against the USD on rising demand for the greenback by bankers and importers, dealers at the Foreign Exchange said.
The local unit dropped 11 paise to 77.64 in opening trade, and closed at the opening level only.
The Rupee was seen weak due to a strong dollar against other world currencies amid negative equity market.
The Rupee unit registered the days high and low at 77.60 and 77.68 respectively against the US Dollar, dealer added.
