Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Monday ended weak at 72.96, slipping 13 paise against the USD on rising demand for US Dollar by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.

In opening trade, the domestic unit fell by six paise to 72.89.

Till the end of the session, it further lost by 13 paise to finish at 72.96 as compared to its previous close.

The local unit registered days high and low at 73.00 and 72.86 respectively.

The Rupee dropped today owing to strong dollar against other world currencies amid robust equity market, dealers added.
