Indian Rupee down 31 paise against USD

Mumbai, Apr 22 (UNI) The Rupee on Monday heavily down by 31 paise to 69.67 against the US Dollars on rising demand for US Dollars by importers, dealers at Forex Market said.

The local unit that dropped by 35 paise to 69.71, ended at 69.67, sliding by 31 paise as compared to its last close.

High fluctuation was seen during the day as it registered day high and low at 69.88 and 69.49 respectively.

Firm dollar against other world currencies and tumbling equity market drapped the Indian currency, dealer informed.
