Mumbai/UNI:  The Rupee on Tuesday ended on a flat note at 74.87 against the US Dollar on selling of American currency by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.

The domestic unit that tumbled down 52 paise on Monday, improved 20 paise to 74.67 in opening trade.

During the day, it was seen weak, but managed to finish on a steady level at 74.87 against the greenback.

The local unit registered day's high and low at 74.92 and 74.65 respectively.

The Rupee could erase Monday's losses, owing to weak dollar against other world currencies amid weak equity market, dealers added.

The Forex Market will be closed on Wednesday for 'Ram Navmi', broker informed.
