Indian Rupee ends strong at 74.35 against USD
Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Friday registered a strong gain of 57 paise to close at 74.35 against the US Dollar on brisk selling of US Dollar by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.
High oscillation was seen during the day, as the local unit advanced by 20 paise to 74.72 in opening trade.
Till the end of the session, it spurted 57 paise to finish at 74.35 as compared to its previous close.
The local unit registered days high and low at 74.80 and 74.30 respectively.
The Rupee jumped because of weak dollar against other world currencies amid positive equity market, dealers added.
