Indian Rupee rises 4 paise against USD

Mumbai, Oct 29 (UNI) The Rupee on Tuesday rose by four paise to 70.84 on selling of US Dollars by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.

In opening trade, the local unit advanced by 18 paise to 70.70.


Till the end of the day, it erased earlier gain but ended positive only at 70.84, rising by 4 paise as compared to its last close.


The domestic unit recorded day high and low at 70.91 and 70.68 respectively.


The Rupee remained strong on weak Dollar against other world currencies along with strong equity market, the dealer added.
