Mumbai: The Rupee on Monday rallied 24 paise to close at 75.54 against the greenback on brisk selling of US dollars by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Foreign Exchange said.

In the opening session, the domestic unit surged 10 paise at 75.69.

It advanced further and finished strong at 75.54, up 24 paise as compared to its previous close.

The Rupee rallied owing to a weak dollar against other world currencies amid robust equity market.

The Rupee registered the day's high and low at 75.50 and 75.73 respectively against the US dollar, the dealers added.
