Jammu and Kashmir: Govt signs MoU with Tata, IUST

Srinagar: The government has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Technologies Ltd Pune and Islamic University of Science and Technology, (IUST) Awantipora to create a pool of skilled workforce in Jammu and Kashmir who could work both in J&K as well as nationally.

In this endeavour, the Government Polytechnic College (GPC), Baramulla has already established a Centre for Invention, Innovation, Incubation, and Training (CIIIT) in collaboration with Tata Technologies Ltd Pune, for providing integrated training on technical and skill development and other disruptive technologies conforming to industry.

Now the GPC, Baramulla has entered into a MoU with IUST aimed to up-skill the undergraduate and diploma students of IUST for providing high-end, practical-oriented training, leading to their higher employability.
