Jindal (India) Limited, part of the BC Jindal Group and one of the leading downstream steel products manufacturers in the country, on Tuesday announced a long-term supply partnership with Dongkuk India to cater to the growing demand for high-quality coated steel products from the country's rapidly expanding home appliance industry.

The BC Jindal Group, led by Shyam Sunder Jindal, Promoter, BC Jindal Group, as part of the arrangement, will supply premium coated steel products to Dongkuk Steel India's manufacturing facilities. Under the long-term supply framework, Jindal (India) Limited will offer products that will include Pre-Painted Galvanised Iron (PPGI), Galvanised Plain Skin Passed (GPSP) and Alu-Zinc Coated Steel.

“India's home appliance and consumer durables industry is witnessing strong growth, driven by rising household incomes, urbanization and increasing demand for locally manufactured products. As the country's leading downstream steel product manufacturer, we see significant opportunities to cater to this expanding sector.

“Our partnership with Dongkuk India enables us to combine our manufacturing strengths with their processing expertise, creating a reliable domestic supply ecosystem for appliance manufacturers. This collaboration will help us strengthen our presence in the OEM segment while supporting India's growing focus on quality manufacturing and supply chain resilience,” said a Jindal (India) Limited spokesperson.

The products will be supplied to leading Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) through Dongkuk India’s established supply channels, catering to leading global and domestic home appliances brands.

The partnership is expected to make a meaningful contribution to Jindal (India) Limited's growth trajectory over the next few years and further strengthen its foothold in India's expanding home appliance market.

The BC Jindal Group’s Jindal (India) Limited has two modern factories located at Howrah, West Bengal, and its capabilities include advanced colour coating and metal coating technologies.

The company offers a diverse range of products across three major divisions that include sheets, pipes, and aluminium foil.

With strong brands like Jindal Sabrang and Jindal NeuColor+, Jindal (India) Limited dominates the colour-coated sheets market, particularly in Eastern India, and maintains a significant presence across the country.

Currently, 70% of the company’s total production consists of coated flat steel products, which remains a key area of focus for future growth and expansion.

Jindal (India) Limited is one of the oldest players in the downstream steel product industry.

A significant portion of the company’s revenue has been driven by the eastern region, followed by South India. However, over the years, the company has adopted a pan-India strategy, expanding into North and

West India through increased capacity growth. Jindal (India) Limited sees immense potential in these regions due to the rapid growth in infrastructure development and industrial projects.

Jindal (India) Limited, founded in 1952, is part of BC Jindal Group, a leading Indian conglomerate.

The group, led by Shyam Sunder Jindal, Promoter, BC Jindal Group is engaged in a diverse portfolio of businesses like packaging films, energy & steel products.
