Kolkata: 14th edition of Food Tech concludes

Kolkata, Aug 23 (IBNS):The 14th edition of Food Tech 2015, the International Food Bakery Tech & Hotel Tech exhibition which was inaugurated on Friday concluded on Sunday.
 
The three day business- to -business exhibition (B2B) on food and hospitality industry  was held at the Milan Mela exhibition ground and was organised by the Delhi-based firm N K Kapur & Co Pvt Ltd.

This year’s exhibition  focused on food safety and eastern India, Northeast and neighbouring countries Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh. Companies from Singapore, Taiwan and Japan are participating in this exhibition. Multinational brands from the chocolate industry like Duke, Morde, Jindal Cocoa, Danisco also participated.

“This exhibition draws audiences from across India and over 100 reputed companies from India and abroad will showcase under one roof the latest products and services cutting across hotel, confectionery, equipment, catering equipment, tableware, food packaging technology, food flavours and additives, industrial refrigeration, hotel and food chain consumable etc. This year we have increased the exhibition area by 15%and it would cover n area of 85,000 sq ft,” said Zakir Hossain, Regional Head, N K Kapur & Co and the Chief Convener of the international exhibition.  

The exhibition  provided a leading platform for stakeholders in the bakery sector of West Bengal to showcase the latest products and technologies and scout for business opportunities.

Apart from exhibition  were seminars, conferences, product launches buyers and seller’s meets, interactive sessions with students, culinary competitions and free- sampling.
