Kolkata hosts seminar on role of CA in Generation Y

Kolkata, Apr 11 (IBNS): Eastern India Regional Council of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India recently organised a seminar on the Role of Chartered Accountants in Generation Y moving from compliance to Reliance at ICAI Bhawan here.

The Seminar was attended by CA Pramod Dayal Rungta, Chairman, EIRC of ICAI; CA Anirban Datta, Vice-Chairman, EIRC & CA Sanjib Sanghi.

The basic objective of conducting this Seminar is about making our Chartered Accountant members aware of the Role of Chartered Accountants in Generation Y. Since in the present era, our practice areas are getting more commoditised, professionals are expected to be more efficient, tech-savvy and provide non-compliance and value-based services to their clients using technology like cloud computing, Advanced Excel & Macros, the speakers said.

"As Generation Y is the future of tomorrow. Hence tapping into the knowledge, skills and talents of the new generation will be critical to organisations’ success," they said.
