Micromax launches three new 4G enabled handsets

Kolkata,Sept 25 (IBNS) Aiming to find a foothold in the nascent 4G market, Micromax announced three new additions to its existing 4G LTE range, here on Thursday.
Canvas Blaze 4G, Canvas Fire 4G, and the Canvas Play 4G were launched by the company. The company has also teamed up with Airtel to offer introductory 4G double data for a period of six months across its 4G range of smartphones.
 
Subhajit Sen, CMO, Micromax Informatics said, "People want to use the latest technology. 4G is the latest technology in the market. We are launching three new sets here, by December this year we expect surge to shift from 3G to 4G network."

"Our 4G smartphone launches are well timed with the 4G technology evolution and roll-out to ensure our consumers use mobile internet for not just entertainment but also for work while at home or on the go. Over the due course of time our entire Canvas range of smartphones will be upgraded to 4G,” Sen added.

Priced at Rs 6,999, the new 8GB Canvas Blaze 4G  has a 4.5-inch FWVGA display. Powered by a 1.1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and a 2000mAh battery, the smartphone promises super-fast internet speeds, seamless multi-tasking and entertainment. It also comes with 2MP front-facing camera and 5MP rear camera.

The Canvas Fire 4G features a 4.5-inch display and is powered by a 1GHz Media Tek MTK6735 quad core processor. The device gets 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM and a 1850 mAh battery.The device is priced at Rs 6,999.

Micromax now has a portfolio of 6 devices in less than three months. All three devices run Android Lollipop.
