Mosti launches India's First Super Kids Tab: 'Chhota Bheem Tab'

The Chhota Bheem Tab is an Android based super kids tab created with the aim to keep children educated and entertained with premium and child-related content. It is engineered in a way that makes it easy to handle and difficult to damage, while also giving parents significant control over the content available to their children.

With its ability to withstand drops as high as five-feet, the ‘drop-tested’ design for the Chhota Bheem Tab has won the Design and Engineering Award at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show.

Wide borders, rounded edges, large buttons and a recessed touch screen make the tab easier for little children to handle it without the need of keen supervision. A design well thought through, the Chhota Bheem Tab sports rubberised bumpers on the back and edges which serve as protection from accidental bumps and shocks. The Tab is named after popular cartoon superhero Chhota Bheem for its likeness in strength, intelligence and playfulness. The Chhota Bheem Tab is in many ways the first gadget specifically designed for children in this space.

Talking about the tab, Lloyd Almeida, Co-Founder, Fusion Dynamics, says, “The digital learning space for little children in India is an untapped market and we saw great potential for a children’s tab after observing how children instinctively take to technology. Our aim was to build a device from the ground up, keeping in mind the target audience, rather than changing a few aspects of existing products in the market to make them children friendly. Our approach also differentiates us from the other electronic giants in the market, who otherwise could have been our competitors.”

To aid this, the MOSTI Chhota Bheem Tab has been empowered with fantastic content from Intellijoy – one of the world’s leading content creators, and has pre-loaded applications from Appu series, iStorybooks, and of course Chhota Bheem. The device allows children to watch loads of cartoon serials on the internet using an app called KIDO’Z TV. As they grow older, children can read digital books, view laboratory experiments and download additional content from the net

The Chhota Bheem Tab has parental controls designed by KIDO’Z which enable parents to control and supervise their children’s online experience while still allowing children to download more content from the internet. While being Wi-Fi enabled, the device also comes with preinstalled story books, nursery rhymes, math puzzles, learning apps and other educational games.

In a bid to serve their goal of supporting noble causes, MOSTI has also tied up with Child Rights and You (CRY), a leading NGO that works to protect child rights worldwide and will donate Rs. 100 for every tab sold.
