NSE Nifty posts fresh record closing high, market ends positive

Mumbai, Sep 18 (IBNS): NSE Nifty scoring a fresh record closing high on Monday provided a fillip to the Indian market. It rallied 67.70 points to close at 10,153.10.

BSE Sensex was up 151.15 points at 32,423.76.

Positive global cues largely helped the market to end higher.

Top gainers on Monday included Bajaj Auto, Bharti Infratel, Idea Cellular, HUL, L&T, Coal India, IndusInd Bank and Tata Motors (D) while ITC, Tata Steel, ONGC, SBI, Amnuja Cements, Tata Power and Sun Pharma declined.
