Paytm founder bats for demonetisation

| | Nov 24, 2016, at 12:35 am
New Delhi, Nov 23 (IBNS): At a time when the government is facing huge backlash from its political opponents for the move to demonetise INR 500 and 1000 notes, it found support in e-wallet company Paytm's founder Vijay Sekhar Sharma.

The entrepreneur urged others to look at the bigger picture.

"Look at the bigger agenda, this is just noise. The pain is for massive gain," he told a news channel.

Paytm also launched a new app on Wednesday.

With the latest Paytm update the app will enable easy cash transaction.

The app will provide users with a one time password upon entering the phone number of the receiver and once the debit/credit card details are entered, the transaction will be completed.

Transaction can be done without having a Paytm account.
