In Delhi the prices for both petrol and diesel were increased by 80 paise.

In Mumbai, a litre of petrol is available at Rs 117.57 per litre while diesel is at Rs 101.79 (an increase of 85 paise). In Chennai, a litre of petrol costs Rs 98.28 while diesel is at Rs 108.21 (an increase of 76 paise) while in Kolkata, the price of petrol is Rs 112.19 (increased by 84 paise) and diesel Rs 97.02 (increased by 80 paise).

The fuel prices were on freeze since November 4, 2021, but the record 137 days hiatus ended on March 22 with an 80 paise per litre increase in rates of petrol and diesel.

The oil companies had been increasing the petrol and diesel prices since then except on Mar 24 and Apr 1, 2022.
