Petrol,diesel prices reduced

New Delhi, July 31 (IBNS): Giving relief to consumers, petrol and diesel prices were slashed on Sunday.


The new prices will come to  effect from midnight tonight.

While petrol price was reduced by Rs 1.42 per litre and diesel price was slashed by Rs 2.01 a litre.

" Decrease in Retail Selling Price of Petrol by Rs. 1.42/litre at Delhi (including State levies) with corresponding price revision in other States. With this change, the price of Petrol in Delhi will become Rs. 61.09/litre,"  the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) said in a statement.

"Decrease in Retail Selling Price of Diesel by Rs. 2.01/litre at Delhi (including State levies) with corresponding price revision in other States. With this change, the price of Diesel in Delhi will become Rs. 52.27/litre," it said.
