Mumbai: Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), through Reliance Intelligence Limited, and Google on Thursday announced a wide-ranging strategic partnership to accelerate Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption across India, supporting Reliance’s AI for All vision.

The collaboration combines Reliance’s vast digital reach and ecosystem with Google’s advanced AI technologies to “democratize AI access and strengthen the digital foundation for India’s AI-driven future.”

As part of the partnership, Google and Reliance Intelligence will roll out the Google AI Pro plan to eligible Jio users free for 18 months.

The plan, worth ₹35,100, offers access to Google’s Gemini 2.5 Pro model, creative tools like Nano Banana and Veo 3.1, 2 TB cloud storage, and Notebook LM for research.

Early access will be given to Jio users aged 18–25 on unlimited 5G plans, with expansion to all users nationwide.

Reliance will also collaborate with Google Cloud to expand access to AI hardware accelerators (TPUs), enabling organisations to train and deploy larger AI models and strengthen India’s AI infrastructure.

In addition, Reliance Intelligence will serve as Google Cloud’s go-to-market partner for the Gemini Enterprise platform, helping Indian businesses integrate next-generation AI agents into their workflows.

Reliance Intelligence will also build its own pre-designed AI agents for enterprise use.

Mukesh D. Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, said, “Reliance Intelligence aims to make intelligence services accessible to 1.45 billion Indians.

"Through our collaboration with strategic and long-term partners like Google, we aim to make India not just AI-enabled but AI-empowered – where every citizen and enterprise can harness intelligent tools to create, innovate and grow.”

Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai said, “Reliance is a longstanding partner in Google’s goal of advancing India’s digital future – together we’ve brought affordable internet access and smartphones to millions. Now, we are bringing this collaboration into the AI era.

"Today’s announcement will put Google’s cutting-edge AI tools in the hands of consumers, businesses, and India’s vibrant developer community. I’m excited for how this partnership will help expand access to AI across India.”
