Kolkata, Feb 23 (IBNS): Titan Eyeplus, India’s leading eyewear retail chain from Titan Company Limited, was a proud participant of the Make in India Week hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, last week in Mumbai.

Titan Eyeplus, known for its world class products and best in quality services, took this opportunity to display its potential in design, innovation and sustainability across various manufacturing capabilities in the eyewear category.

Staying true to the philosophy of ‘Make in India’, Titan Eyeplus showcased a range of lenses, designed and manufactured at their state-of-the-art lens manufacturing facility in Chikkaballapur, Karnataka. The brand also announced plans for establishing a hi-tech frame manufacturing unit, aimed at import substitution.

With this manufacturing unit, the brand will create differentiated products such as nickel-free and lead-free frames, lightweight titanium and aluminum products, and establish 100 percent laser welding for better precision and accuracy.

The manufacturing facility is also expected to substitute the conventional hard tooling technology with hi-tech lasers and CNC machining, for quicker turnaround time and designing.
