59 deaths, 2914 fresh Covid-19 cases recorded in Punjab

Chandigarh/UNI: Punjab on Monday registered 2914 new Covid cases and 59 deaths due to the fatal infection, raising the infection tally to 2,34,602 and death toll 6749 in the state.

According to a medical bulletin, there are 24,143 active cases in the state as 2,583 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering from infection on Monday.

Of the fresh cases, Jalandhar reported a maximum of 360 positive cases, followed by 357 in Amritsar and 343 new cases in the Ludhiana district.

Jalandhar also registered the highest 13 deaths on Monday, followed by 11 in Ludhiana and ten fatalities in Hoshiarpur district.
