Countries like Bahrain and the UAE have agreed to help India in their fight against the deadly second wave of COVID-19.

Bahrain’s Cabinet on Monday expressed the country’s support to India’s fight against COVID-19, extending sincere condolences to the government and citizens of India following the deaths of COVID-19 patients, the Bahrain News Agency reported as quoted by Saudi Gazette.

In the weekly meeting held remotely and chaired by Crown Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, who is also the country’s prime minister, the Cabinet decided on sending medical equipment and oxygen to India to support its fight against COVID-19, reports Saudi Gazette.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has affirmed his confidence in the ability of the Republic of India to overcome the challenging circumstances triggered by the resurgence in Covid-19 cases, reiterating the UAE's full support for and solidarity with the friendly country amidst the challenging health situation it is reeling under, reports Khaleej Times.

In a grim picture, India on Wednesday reported its biggest spike in Novel Coronavirus cases by adding over 3.60 lakh fresh infections.

The country has reported 3,60,960 new cases taking the caseload to 17,997,267.

India has reported 3,293 deaths in 36 states and union territories taking the Covid-19 toll to over 2,00,000-mark.

The six most-affected states or union territories are Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Delhi, which are adding the highest number of cases daily.

However, reports said, the daily cases have dipped in Maharashtra and Delhi following the imposition of anti-Covid lockdown.
