Bangladesh witnessing another surge in COVID-19 cases, positivity rate touches 31 pct

Dhaka: Bangladesh is witnessing yet another surge in COVID-19 cases as 10,906 new cases were registered in the past 24 hours, media reports said on Sunday.

The positivity rate of the country now stands at 31.29 percent.

The total caseload in the country now stands at 1,685,136.

The death toll rose to 28,223 as 14 more patients died from COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8 am on Sunday, according to the latest government data, reports bdnews24.

Capital city Dhaka recorded 7,292 infections and 5 fatalities.
