Coronavirus: One more positive case reported in UP

Lucknow/UNI: The number of COVID-19 patients in Uttar Pradesh went up to 30 on Monday after a new patient was tested positive in Pilibhit district.

According to officials, the new Coronavirus patient had recently returned from Saudi Arabia after attending Umra.

The affected woman have been admitted to the isolation ward in Pilibhit and her family members were being tested of the virus.

After the patient tested positive, UP government had included the district in the lock down list.

The officials revealed that the total number of COVID-19 patients has gone up to 30 though 11 patients have been cured and returned to their homes.

The officials further revealed that eight were found in Agra, Noida and Lucknow, two in Ghaziabad, and one each in Pilibhit, Moradabad, Lakhimpur Kheri and Varanasi.

Of the total test done, reports of 1,187 were found negative and reports of 96 tests were awaited.

Around 26,369 travellers were checked at airports in the state, while over 15.35 lakes were screened at the Indo-Nepal borders, they added.

Meanwhile, after reports of people coming out of their houses in large numbers in the lock down districts including Lucknow, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has again appealed to the people to stay inside their houses and take the issue seriously.

'You should save yourself and family by staying inside your house and follow the rules and regulations of the government to fight the pandemic," Adityanath said in a tweet.
