Coronavirus Outbreak: Eight more test positive, total cases reach 43 in UP's Rai Bareli

Rai Bareli/UNI: With eight more people testing positive for the novel coronavirus, the total number of individuals affected by COVID-19 rose to 43 in Uttar Pradesh’s Rai Bareli, the District Magistrate said on Wednesday.

In a statement through the District Information Department, DM Shubhra Saxena said that eight more people have tested positive for the coronavirus in the district today.

The DM said that all these people had been quarantined at Kripalu Medical and Research Center, Munshiganj. Action is now being undertaken to provide them adequate treatment.

Notably, there was a sudden spike in the number of coronavirus cases in the district as 33 people tested positive on Tuesday out of which 16 are from Saharanpur.
