COVID-19 in Maharashtra: Woman tests positive in Kolhapur

Kolhapur/UNI:  A woman, relative of a man who partook in the religious congregation at Nizamuddin Mosque in national capital - Delhi, was tested positive for the novel coronavirus here on Saturday, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 5 in the district.

According to Health Department, swab reports of the woman, a relative of Nizamuddin religious congregation returned youth at Uchat in Shahuwadi tehsil of this district, were declared positive of the deadly virus.

The Tablighi Jamaat participant, from whom the woman contracted the virus, was tested positive on April 9.

Meanwhile a second swab report of Pune returned youth of Bhaktipuja Nagar, was declared negative.

The first case in the district emerged of a woman, relative of first four Saudi Arabia returned positive persons from Islampur in Sangli district, however she was later declared negative during her second tests.
