COVID-19 tally of Chhattisgarh crosses 1 lakh mark

Raipur/UNI:  The COVID-19 tally of Chhattisgarh stood at 102461 on Saturday after 3896 positive cases were reported during the last 24 hours while 23 patients with COVID-19 infection died, pushing the death toll to 817 in the state so far.

According to information received from health department out of 3896 fresh Coronavirus positive patients maximum 891 belong to Raipur whereas 313 patients were found in Durg, 111 in Rajnandgaon, 61 in Balod, 34 in Bemetara, 65 in Kabirdham, 155 in Dhamtari, 76 in Baloda-Bazaar, 108 in Mahasamund, 62 in Gariaband, 213 in Bilaspur, 281 in Raigarh, 247 in Korba, 183 in Janjgir-Champa, 42 in Mungeli, 34 in Gourela-Pendra-Marwahi, 131 in Sarguja, 41 in Koriya, 28 in Surajpur, 47 in Balrampur, 30 in Jashpur, 188 in Bastar, 103 in Kondagaon, 99 in Dantewada, 146 in Sukma, 127 in Kanker, 40 in Narayanpur and 37 in Bijapur. Three patients have come from other states.

Process of their hospitalisation is underway.

As many as 643 patients recovered and they have returned to their homes after discharge while 2544 patients have been discharged from home isolation taking the number of cured to 45511.

Total 1034460 samples were collected for Coronavirus testing in Chhattisgarh and 102461 of them were found to have tested positive so far.

At present, 30689 active Coronavirus positive patients were under treatment in various hospitals.
