Kaushambi/UNI:  A youth, who had recently returned from Mumbai, has tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Uttar Pradesh's Kaushambi district -- an orange zone.

District Magistrate (DM) Manish Kumar Verma on Wednesday said that the youth, hailing from the Mahmadpur village in the Kis Sirathu tehsil area, had returned from Mumbai, five days back.

He has been quarantined at the Ashram Paddhati school.

Upon observing coronavirus symptoms, the health department sent the youth's sample for testing to a lab in Prayagraj on May 9. As per the reports obtained on Tuesday night, the youth was found positive for COVID-19 and he has been sent to a Prayagraj hospital for treatment.
