Delhi sees highest ever daily spike with 28,867 new cases in 24 hours

New Delhi/IBNS: Delhi witnessed the biggest-ever daily spike in COVID-19 surge on Thursday with 28,867 new cases in the last 24 hours with the positivity rate increased to 29 percent.

In the last 24 hours, the national capital reported 31 deaths.

Meanwhile, over 62,000 patients are in home isolation across the city.

The positivity rate in Delhi is the highest on Thursday since May 3 during the second wave.

This morning, India recorded 2.47 lakh fresh cases triggered by the unprecedented surge in Omicron, the new variant that has brought a fresh wave of infections across the world.
