India records 10,853 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours, marginally less than yesterday

New Delhi/IBNS: India recorded 10,853 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, a figure marginally less than the previous day, the Union Health Minister said in its daily bulletin on Sunday.

The country's recovery rate currently stands at 98.24 percent, which is the highest since March 2020 as per the government.

Around 12,432 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours, which increased the total recoveries to 3,37,49,900.

Active cases presently account for less than 1 percent of total infections, currently at 0.42%, which is the lowest since March 2020.

India's active caseload stands at 1,44,845, the lowest in 260 days.

Meanwhile, 108.21 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive.
