India records 1,86,364 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours, lowest daily count in 44 days

New Delhi: India recorded a decline in daily case count as 1,86,364 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the past 24 hours, as per the Ministry of Health released data on Friday.

During the same period 2,59,459  people recovered from the deadly virus that is believed to have originated from China.

The death toll due to the virus now stands at 3,18,895 as 3,660 people died due to the virus in the past 24 hours.

There are 23,43,152 active cases in the country at present.

The daily count of cases recorded in the past 24 hours is the lowest figure in 44 days.
