India records 816 COVID-19 deaths

New Delhi: India registered 66,732 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, as per Indian government data released on Monday.

As per Union Health Ministry data, the total case count due to the infection now stands at 7,120,538.

The number of fatalities due to the highly infectious disease also witnessed a drop as India recorded 816 deaths in the past 24 hours.

The dealth toll due to the disease now stands at 109150.

The number of active cases dropped to touch 8,61,853.

As many as 61,49,535 patients have cured of the disease.
