India reports 3,615 new Covid-19 cases

New Delhi/UNI: India reported 3,615 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total tally of active caseload to 40,979 as per the Health Ministry data on Wednesday

As many as 14 fresh fatalities were reported, taking the toll to 5,28,584.

A total of 4,972 patients recovered, taking total recoveries to 4,40,09,525 as the national recovery rate stood at 98.72 per cent.

According to the bulletin, 89.44 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far. In the last 24 hours, a total of 3,23,293 tests have been conducted.

"India has administered 217.96 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine (94.80 crore second dose and 20.69 crore precaution dose) so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive," the ministry data said.
