India reports over 12,000 Covid-19 cases, 101 deaths in 24 hours

New Delhi/IBNS: India, which is again witnessing a surge in cases in some parts, on Thursday reported over 12,000 Covid-19 cases besides 101 deaths apparently due to the contagion.

With 12,881 fresh Covid-19 cases in 24 hours between Wednesday and Thursday mornings, the tally of infection has touched 10,950,201.

With 101 deaths, the Covid-19 tally has surged to 1,56,014.

After registering a steady decline in Covid-19 cases, Kerala and Maharashtra's capital city Mumbai are again witnessing sea of cases per day.

The Mumbai Mayor has already warned people of a possible lockdown urging the public to wear masks while travelling.
