India sees decline in COVID-19 daily cases, reports 27,409 infections in 24 hours

New Delhi/IBNS: In a gradual recovery from the massive second wave of COVID-19, India on Tuesday witnessed further decline in daily cases with the reporting of 27,409 infections in the last 24 hours.

The Union Health Ministry in its regular briefing said 347 deaths apparently due to the virus were reported in the same span of time.

In 24 hours between Monday and Tuesday mornings, 82,817 COVID-19 patients have recovered taking the recovery percentage to 97.82%.

The active cases now account for 0.99% of the total cases reported so far in the country.

Under the national vaccination drive, 173.42 crore anti-coronavirus vaccine doses have been administered in the vast country of 1.3 billion people.
