J P Nadda inaugurates health pavilion at trade fair

New Delhi, Nov 14 (IBNS): Union Health and Family Welfare Minister J P Nadda inaugurated the pavilion of the Health Ministry at the India International Trade Fair 2014, here on Friday.

The theme of the pavilion this year is “ASHA: A Change Agent”.

The Health Minister took a round of the pavilion.

He also interacted with the ASHAs during his visit.

The Health Pavilion this time has a special stall with informative panels on telemedicine. He also interacted with the visitors during his visit.

J P Nadda inaugurated the National Health Portal at the Health Pavilion.

The Portal of the Health Ministry is a comprehensive storehouse of knowledge on all health related matters.

This is envisaged to create awareness about health issues in the common man.

Earlier in the day, the Health Minister participated in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan at the GTB Hospital at Delhi.

He lead a cleanliness campaign in the hospital premises in which doctors and the hospital staff also participated.

He also inspected the waste management system in the hospital.

He interacted with patients and inspired them to keep their environs clean and hygienic.

He stated that the Swachh Bharat programme of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead to a healthier India.
