Jammu/IBNS: Jammu & Kashmir Wednesday achieved the landmark of administering over two crore covid vaccine doses under the ongoing inoculation campaign.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha complimented the efforts of healthcare and frontline workers who battled the odds of tough geographical terrain, weather vagaries, and a host of other impediments to complete the task.

“Congratulations to the people of UT for their cooperation and resolve to  unitedly tackle the public health emergency”, he said.

The J&K administration achieved the completion of one crore doses as early on Sept. 18.

Subsequently, 100 per cent coverage of first dose in 18 and above age group was achieved on Oct. 14.

The target of 100 per cent second dose coverage of the 18-years-old and above age group was accomplished on Jan. 12.
